Dr. Anas Alyousef, BMBCh, FRCPC, is a consultant nephrologist and the head of the nephrology and dialysis centres at Amiri Hospital, Kuwait City. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Kuwait University in 2002. Canadian board-certified in internal medicine in 2008 from UBC, Canada, and completed a nephrology fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, in 2009. He has been a board member of the ISN Middle East Regional Board since 2019. Dr. Alyousef has more than 30 publications in peer reviewed journals. He is currently the president of Kuwait Nephrology Association.

Dr Anil thussu MD, DM Neurology is working as Consultant and Head of neurology in Amiri hospital since 1998. Prior to that he was Associate professor in Neurology in a prestigious Medical university in India. He has to his credit around 50 publications in National and International journals. He has been associated with management of peripheral neuropathy in Diabetes actively since 2008 when he started working as Consultant Neurologist in Dasman Diabetes Institute.

Dr. Asmaa Al Rashed is a Consultant General and Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery in the Department of Surgery and a Consultant Critical Care in Amiri & Jaber Al-Ahmed Hospitals in Kuwait.

She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and the American College of Surgeons. She is board certified in General Surgery and has Critical Care fellowship from McGill University, and Laparoscopic Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery fellowship in Laval University, Quebec City, Canada.

Dr. Al Rashed held numerous academic and leadership roles, her research and clinical work focus on quality of care of obesity, bariatric and metabolic surgery and on achieving equity in surgery. She is an invited speaker regionally and internationally and is the founder of Women Surgeons of Kuwait.

Bassam Bulbanat is Consultant of Cardiology at the Sabah Al Ahmad Cardiac Center, Ministry of health, Kuwait. He serves as a consultant cardiologist (echocardiography specialist) at the Sabah Al Ahmad Cardiac Center. During his academic career he has contributed to several international journal publications. He is chairing the Adult Cardiology Fellowship Program affiliated with KIMS

Ghadeer Alkhalifah is senior clinical dietician with 12 years work experience in the field of diabetes.

She did her pre and post graduate studies at Kuwait University in Nutrition Sciences and has a Masters Degree in Diabetes Care from the University of Warwick. She is part of the diabetes multidisciplinary team at Amiri Hospital and a DAFNE and WICKED educator at Dasman Diabetes Institute.

Her main expertise is in Medical Nutrition Therapy for Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes and Carbohydrate Counting

Dr.Talal completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto, then he joined the University of Toronto vitreoretinal surgery fellowship program. After that he joined the ophthalmic genetics and visual electrophysiology fellowship program at Casey Eye Institute in Portland Oregon.
